The Versilia has a long coastal shore which runs parallel along the inland with its rich contrasting scenery.

The Versilia is famous for its splendid beaches which cover 20 km and is bulwarked by the imposing Apuan Alps, which are world famous for their marble quarries.

A few minutes from the coast, facing the Versialian Riviera, are some very small towns steeped in history and picturesque villages interspersed with meadows, woods and mountains, each with their own history, their own singular landscape and cultural-artistic characteristics to be visited at any time of the year.

Remains of ancient buildings, fortresses, small churches with their characteristic bell-towers face the green, Versialian countryside, to watch and survey the coast which during the night, as though by magic, is coloured by lights coming from numerous and crowded night spots, from restaurants with their menus for sea-food and mountain dishes and the famous discotheques, which from the early 1960s have been the ‘in places’ in this vivacious part of Tuscany
